Raul Penaranda unveils his #LoveWins collection with official handbag collaboration by Gretchen Christine during New York Fashion Week S/S 2016 at KIA Style360.
This collection was nothing short of elegant, opulent, and innovative with ‘Evolution’ being the theme of this season’s show. His fresh designs full of vibrant colors and prints displayed his true craftsmanship and dedication to the ‘Evolution’ of his brand.
Blue seemed to be a focus color for the #LoveWins collection and it was executed exceptionally. With models such as Adau Mornyang, this show was destined to be amazing. The first dress to grace the runway was a spring/summer high-low, must have. Greens, blues and hues of purple working together with a mesh overlay full of movement and dimension as the model walked the runway. The use of mesh can be seen throughout the collection in different shapes and forms, from the cocktail dress, to the mid sleeve flair, and even seen in the motorbike inspired jumpsuits. This may be a hint to all fashionistas for to what;s to come this spring/summer season, a forecast if you will.
Penaranda then revealed beautiful fabrics in bright yellow, metallic gray and blue shades. The metallic jumpsuits created a scene of power during the show which complimented the femininity of the dresses. The final dress was a beautiful A-Line/Princess V-neck Floor-Length gown. The gown was an elegant green with an orange overlay and created a magical feeling as it came down the runway. Raul Penaranda feels he has matured as a person and artist so he wanted this collection represent just that.
