Bryant park saw a lot of skin on Tuesday as tennis pro Rafael Nadal swept points away from the sparsely dressed Hilfiger models.The strip tennis match, which was played on a custom Hilfiger logo court, was in celebration of Nadal’s partnership with Tommy Hilfiger as their newest underwear model. Nadal also donned Tommy Hilfiger’s latest line of tailored suits and the brand’s new fragrance, TH Bold.
In full suit and tie, Nadal won the match against models Arthur Kulkov and Hannah Davis and Chanel Iman and Akin Akman. The opposing teams did score a few points resulting in a shirtless Nadal- a real score for the audience as well.
Hilfiger spoke to the collaboration saying, “We’ve revamped our men’s underwear collection with a look that’s modern, athletic and bold, and Nadal is the ultimate global brand ambassador for this new direction. Since I first established my brand 30 years ago, we’ve always brought a unique twist to our designs and our advertising. The event brought out its fair share of celebrities including Glee’s Jane Lynch who refereed the match as her character from the show. Also in attendance were Lake Bell of Wet Hot American Summer, Nat Wolf who most recently starred in John Green’s Paper Towns, Martha Stewart and supermodels Chanel Iman and Constance Jablonski. All of the stars came out to support Tommy Hilfiger and the #HilfigerxNadal partnership regardless of if they were spectators or on the court. The Hilfiger underwear and fragrance modeled by Rafael Nadal are currently available in retail stores while the tailored suit collection will be available as part of the spring 2016 collection.
