The Knockturnal attended the premiere of the second season of “Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin” — “Pretty Little Liars: Summer School” at the TCL Chinese Theater.
The carpet was decorated fittingly with a black carpet and a plethora of red roses. The cast stars Bailee Madison as Imogen Adams, Maia Reficco as Noa Olivar, Chandler Kinney as Tabby and Malia Pyles as Mouse. All of the main cast members were present, except for Chandler Kinney who is currently filming in New Zealand.
During the red carpet interviews, the cast informed us that the biggest difference between filming season one and season two was the weather. The cast grew closer together as they filmed in the summer in upstate New York where they ended long days of filming with football and Ron’s Ice Cream.
The cast’s consensus was that season two is scarier than season one, now that it involves a new villain, Bloody Rose, and they hope audiences will have a combination of scares and laughs. Annabeth Gish, who plays Dr. Sullivan stated she hopes the audience will take away that, “hot girls go to therapy”.
Bailee Madison (Imogen Adams) stated that she hopes this is a show where everyone feels seen and heard. After the carpet, the TCL theater provided the audience with complimentary soda and popcorn. To introduce the show, the executive producers Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Lindsay Calhoon went on stage and thanked the cast and crew for all of their hard work. Roberto and Lindsay reflected on how they each used to work at movie theaters, and how exciting it was to have a premiere of their own.
The first episode of “Pretty Little Liars: Summer School” did not disappoint; It was filled with mystery and humor that kept the audience wanting more. After the premiere, we headed to the rooftop of the Roosevelt Hotel to celebrate. Roosevelt created themed cocktails and provided appetizers and desserts. The view from the rooftop was a beautiful end to the evening! Everyone can watch “Pretty Little Liars: Summer School” streaming on Max!
