It all comes crashing down on this week’s mid-season finale of Power Book IV: Force.
Most of everyone told Tommy Egan to get out of Chicago. Tommy was viewed as an outsider when he first arrived and not everyone can trust him. That includes Jenard as he double-crossed Tommy Egan with a drive by. Of course Tommy was not injured, but Liliana was. Jenard also went against Diamond’s orders as they were all supposed to be working together. But that did not factor into Jenard’s plans!
The shootout sequence is action packed with a few unexpected deaths. It is common in the Power universe for this to happen. The blood will be on Walter and Claudia Flynn’s hands. Speaking of Claudia, Lili Simmons pulled off her best performance in the series thus far. She brought a unique presence on the screen that made her a valuable threat for the rest of the season. Claudia even killed her own girlfriend Mia too. All of this over the product.
I was lead to believe that Walter Flynn would be the main antagonist of Power Book IV: Force. Mirkovich might take that spot after watching this episode. He has a motive now that Tommy and Vic were involved with Tatiana’s death. There had been a fling between Gloria and Tommy, but in this episode, we see something much closer to love. It feels genuine, and Vic is deeply in love with Gloria. He bought her mother a new gravestone at the cemetery, and then bought acres of land for their future.
Even so, their future will always have a roadblock. And that is, Walter Flynn as he still does not approve of them being together. With these stories and the attempted assassination of Tommy Egan, There will be hell to pay for Jenard once Force returns for their mid-season premiere. I cannot wait for it.
