Power Book IV: Force concluded their first season this week.
The war that was being built up between the Walter Family and everyone else had a great payoff. I loved the action and shootout scenes between the rival gangs. Things took a turn for the worst when Liliana meet her demise. A character who appeared last on the very first episode of Power became a soldier and a powerhouse on Force, Liliana will be missed!
It is also great to finally see Vic realize what kind of a human trash Walter Flynn is. All it took was for everyone in his circle to prove that Walter put a hit on Gloria to be killed. I am interested to see where this story goes on the second season of Force.
Speaking of more family affairs, Diamond and Jenard’s feud finally reached a breaking point. The two brothers will not work with each other anymore as the group is now split up. I must admit that I believed for a split second that Diamond was going to kill Jenard. Now we know that Diamond left him alive, I wonder if Jenard’s family will now come after Diamond.
Tommy Egan is staying in Chicago now that he has full control of the pipeline. But this brought attention to the agents in New York. Jenny Sullivan and Blanca Rodriquez are now aware of the criminal activity that’s going on in Chicago. I wonder if those scenes take place at the same time as the season two finale of Power Book II: Ghost. Hope that the producers can clarify the timeline in the future.
Power Book IV: Force’s first season is amazing. Not too often, spinoff shows have a different feel and tone as the original. The cast of characters also enhanced the plot and are relatable. I cannot wait for the second season of Power Book IV: Force!
