Pentatonix releases a new music video for their song “If I Ever Fall In Love” featuring Jason Derulo.
Since bursting on to the scene in 2011, platinum selling recording, a cappella group Pentatonix has sold more than 2.8 million albums in the U.S. alone. Remaking the ’90s hit “If I Ever Fall in Love” by Shai, Pentatonix keeps the classic song a hit by giving the old love song a fun upbeat vibe, along with a dynamic video to go with it. The song starts with Derulo leading it while Pentatonix harmonize in the background to create a melodic beat up until the chorus. After that, the song quickly picks up during the second verse when they incorporate a smooth funky beat to their angelic vocals to spice things up.
Their video is far different from the ’90s groups Shai’s love story. With bright colors and streaming lights, Pentatonix is able to bring their own flavor to this song. Each member carries their part in the song and has their own contribution to the melody of the song. Since this song is usually performed by male groups their female singer, Kirstin Maldonado, delivers a nice tune to the song that makes it different.
