On Sunday, November 5th, the UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital marked a milestone as they hosted the 24th annual Party on the Pier at the Santa Monica Pier. Personalities such as Nathan Kress, Bachelorette Charity Lawson, and her fiancé Dotun Olubeko, as well as Merrick Hannah, were among the guests who lent their support to the cause.

UCLA Health CEO and President Johnese Spisso and Executive Director of the Mattel Children’s Foundation Nancy Molenda added to the event’s significance. Attendees had the opportunity to contribute donations for the hospital, as children were granted with complimentary gifts. The festivities included attractions such as rides, toys, photo opportunities, free food, therapeutic animals and creative booths for both kids and parents.

Over the past 24 years, this event has served as a platform for gathering donations to aid the hospital’s treatment initiatives, particularly for those unable to afford medical care. It has also facilitated advancements in technology for the benefit of the hospital and its patients.
