This past Saturday, The Knockturnal had the opportunity to attend the High-Performance Lifestyle Training Retreat (HPLT) in Los Angeles. The HPLT Retreat brings together driven individuals who aim to improve their lifestyle. The HPLT Retreat is a 3-day event, including keynote speakers, yoga, and an intense HIIT workout day. HPLT’s mission is to “empower your inner savage” to come out.
We joined founder Brian Mazza and the fitness community as they celebrated HPLT’s one year anniversary.
The Knockturnal: How did you get to where you are with HPLT today?
Brian Mazza: I started in the hospitality space where I started a company and it just wasn’t my passion anymore. I needed to chase something I was interested in and that was a part of my lifestyle which is fitness and wellness. When I started HPLT I knew I had a strong community behind me. It was a lot of hard work, a lot of grit, and just being real with people. When they see your mission they see your passion as well.
The Knockturnal: Where is HPLT touring now?
Brian Mazza: We’ve done New York, now LA and Miami, were going back to New York in the Hamptons and we will be doing these events about 6 times a year.
The Knockturnal: What advice can you give for others to reach their success?
Brian Mazza: The main thing is that you’re going to be uncomfortable. When you’re uncomfortable in life, you will grow. If any entrepreneurs need to listen to the advice that a lot of these guys are gonna be speaking today, it’s that you just have to go do it. And it’s gonna suck in the beginning. It’s going to be uncomfortable but you’ll get it done.
HPLT fired up their audience through their engaging panel topics and speakers. Panel Topics included: Building a Business 101, How To Use Social Media To Grow Your Business and Clean Eating. Keynote speakers Bedros Keuilian and Dan Fleyshman delivered honest and motivating advice for starting entrepreneurs. The HPLT atmosphere was energetic, positive, and inspirational. Audience members roared and applauded as panelists and speakers shared their stories about how they reached their success.
Lindsay McCormick: I’ve always been very passionate about health and wellness. The past few months, I had my own personal experience. I got diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder and I’ve been trying to find natural ways to get out of these flare-ups, and the biggest impact I’ve had work for me is diet. Today I’m really excited because I’m gonna be around guys like Tri Borne who made it to the Olympics but had an autoimmune disorder and was able to overcome that with diet.
Throughout the event, guests were able to network and chat while enjoying free treats from HPLT partners such as Hemp Hydrate, Vital Proteins, Athletic Brewing Company, Monster Hydro and more. In addition to these nutritious products, Ketel One Botanical brought the fun to the summit’s closing party. Ketel One Botanical is a 100 percent non-GMO grain vodka, distilled with real botanicals and infused with natural fruit essences, creating fresh-tasting cocktails like the Botanical Spritz, with no carbs, no artificial flavors, no added sugars, and no artificial sweeteners.
Additional key speakers and panelists include: Patrick Schwarzenegger (Actor and Entrepreneur), Mike O’Hearn (Mr. Universe, appeared on American Gladiators), Noah Neiman (Co-Founder Rumble, Celebrity Personal Trainer), Ainsley Rodriguez (Fitness, Health and Lifestyle Coach), Kara Goldin (Founder, Hint Water), The Wishingrads (Co-Founders, Three Wishes & BigEyedWish), Tri Bourne (Professional Beach Volleyball Player), Casey Fleyshman (Fitness Influencer), Todd Abrams (CEO / Co-Founder, ICON Meals) and more.
