Last Saturday, legendary Spanish purveyors of house music ELROW hosted their annual 10 hour mini festival in New York at the Brooklyn Mirage. Known for their enormous, theatrical parties complete with costumed actors, props, and decked out stage fit for a Broadway performance, this year’s party did not disappoint. Titled “Rowllywood” inspired by Bollywood film production, the setup was stocked full of plush colors and ornamentation.
Live actors paraded around the venue on stilts gifting partygoers with themed garb, hats, and tossing out inflatables in true festival fashion. Not a dime was spared on experiential decorations as the crowd favorite included a larger than life confetti thrower that showered the entire venue.
House music OGs Erick Morillo and Roger Sanchez headlined the marathon event outdoors in the main hall; while indoors, Desert Hearts brought ravers further into their mystical Bollywood adventure with a dynamic selection of desert safari deep house. With an all star supporting lineup, there wasn’t a second to be missed in all three performance halls. Gerd Janson, Technasia, Dennis Cruz, Cuartero, Toni Varga, wAFF, Miss Jennifer, Bontan, Shalev, Rybo, and Lubelski played phenomenal sets and carried the vibe all the way though the night.
