On the 20th anniversary of September 11th, in New York City. Country music lovers were enveloped in the beautiful Pier 17 skyline, yummy eats, and top-notch beer.

Country radio station 94.7 WNSH FM hosted the highly anticipated return of the Audacy rooftop concert series featuring Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Darius Rucker and Zach Brown as the headlining acts.

Honoring first responders under the summer sunset was the perfect way to kick off Saturday’s Stars and Strings show. The opening acts for this 9/11 benefit concert were chart-topping artists Caroline Jones, Tennille arts, and Jameson  Rodgers. The crowd listened to  “It’s Over”, “Chasing Me”, and “Back then Right Now” while the sunset solidifying the many emotions and feelings that were lingering over the magical evening.

By intermission, the crowd was fully warmed up and earned their break to sip hard cider and absorb the breath-taking views of Brooklyn and the City. The second half of the show was all about legends Zac Brown and Darius Rucker. They took the concert to a new level with countless relatable, heartbreaking, guitar-shredding,  country songs!

Rucker performed a cover of “God Bless The U.S.A.,” while Brown sand “America the Beautiful” into his fan-favorite “Chicken Fried.” With so many Award-Winning vocals and lyrics between the two, you can’t expect anything less than songs with the ability to bring you back to nostalgic bliss.

In loving memory, and honor of the first responders and their families, Audacy came out of quarantine with a bang! All in all, with so many great hits, performances, and lyrics, the concert felt extremely intimate and moving regardless of its full capacity!  Expect more live shows down the line with just as much breath-taking appeal.
