The Longchamp US flagship store on Fifth Avenue was the place to be on Wednesday evening (July 14).
The French luxury brand teamed up with Angelina Paris to host a fun cocktail reception to celebrate Bastille Day. This holiday marks the fall of Bastille, a military fortress and prison. On July 14, 1789, an angry mob stormed into Bastille kicking off the French Revolution.
When I arrived at the store located at 645 Fifth Avenue, I was greeted by the Angelina’s pop up cafe. Since May, the restaurant has been serving their famous iced hot chocolate and their delicious “Longchamp green” (pistachio flavored) Mont Blanc.
During the Bastille Day reception, guests enjoyed amazing savory Angelina treats like Mini Olive Cake, Gougère and Tomato and mozzarella pesto skewer and sweet bites like the Mini Mont Blanc Pistachio (GF), Mini blueberry tart (GF) and Madeleines. Attendees were also served an assortment of teas and iced Hot Chocolate from Angelina Paris. Angelina Paris opened its first US location at 1050 6th Ave (around the corner from Bryant Park) last year and has quickly become one of the hottest French restaurants in New York City. Social media influencers and celebs love it because the space is super cute and instagrammable (in addition to the food being stellar of course!). The original Angelina was founded in Paris in 1903. It is truly a legendary eatery.
Throughout the evening, I was able to browse the elegant two-level store and check out Longchamp’s latest collection. Additional Angelina desserts and Longchamp goods were raffled throughout the event. At the end of the night, I left with some cool swag: a Longchamp LE FOULONNÉ Coin Purse, a festive Longchamp notebook and some Madeleines.
Shout out to Angelina Paris and Longchamp for a wonderful evening.
