Our latest edition of our New Music Roundup has some spooktacular releases from newcomer Lost Prince, albums from Mersiv and Ternion Sound, a killer remix from Don Diablo, and more.

LOST PRINCE – HONEST (FT. UNDRWVTER) [PALACE MUSIC]

Lost Prince, the masterful and mysterious Greek producer celebrated for his theatrical take on electronic music, unveils “Honest (ft. Undrwvter),” a melodic journey demonstrating his ever-evolving artistry. This release, marking his triumphant return since his acclaimed 2021 debut, is a prelude to his eagerly awaited EP, “Exile,” which promises an eclectic blend of melodic techno, house, and more. “Honest” dazzles with a mix of classic house vibes and progressive tones, balancing energetic highs with atmospheric lows, tailor-made for both dance floors and reflective listening. Notably, since launching in 2021, Lost Prince’s artistry has captivated global audiences, from street performances in Athens to chart-topping releases on Axwell’s renowned Axtone Records. As we approach 2024, we can anticipate more mesmerizing singles leading to “Exile,” further spotlighting Lost Prince’s dynamic musical storytelling.

EZGOD & MAESTRO CHIVES – ROYALTY (DON DIABLO REMIX) [NOCOPYRIGHTSOUNDS (NCS)]

NoCopyrightSounds (NCS), the world’s foremost copyright-free record label, known for showcasing emerging artists, welcomes the brilliant future house maestro, Don Diablo, into its musical fold. Fresh off the heels of his transformative remix of Egzod & Maestro Chives‘ hit “Royalty,” Don Diablo encapsulates the electrifying essence of a festival anthem, pairing it perfectly with Maestro’s violin expertise and Egzod’s ingenious composition. The original “Royalty” tune is no stranger to fame, amassing over 193M streams and a dedicated fanbase, while Don’s rich career includes collaborations with musical giants such as Rihanna, Madonna, and Ed Sheeran. NCS, synonymous with quality, has a vast musical catalog, catering to the under-30s deeply rooted in internet culture and has previously been endorsed by influential figures like Kim Kardashian and Jack Black. Dive into the harmonious confluence of NCS’s reputation and Don Diablo’s futuristic vision, and one can only anticipate what these industry giants will create next.

MERSIV – OUT OF BOUNDS LP [MORFLO RECORDS]

Mersiv, who once captivated fans with his debut album “Pretty Dark Loud,” shakes the bass music world again with his genre-defying album Out of Bounds. Veering away from his debut’s deeper tones, this new offering boasts a fearless approach to bass music, intertwining hip-hop and pop elements, making it a heady brew of his musical evolution. Fresh from a jam-packed headlining show at Red Rocks and several nationwide tours, Mersiv introduces listeners to the album with the audacious “I Like It When You Move” and seamlessly transitions to collaborations with the likes of Wreckno and PROBCAUSE. Tracks such as “Dreamscape” soothe the soul, while “Hypnotize” truly encapsulates the freeform bass genre’s essence. Ending on a high note with “Top Floor,” a collaboration with The Ninetys, this album not only celebrates Mersiv’s musical journey but also paves the way for his much-anticipated Out of Bounds Tour. Since bursting onto the scene in 2015, Mersiv has consistently raised the bar, and “Out of Bounds” is no exception, further solidifying his reputation as a bass music visionary.

CAPSHUN – ETHOS EP

Dallas’ very own electronic maestro, capshun, enthralls us into his new EP, ‘Ethos’, a five-track sensation that exemplifies his relentless evolution in bass music. Known for having a foothold on some of the premier labels like Sable Valley and bitbird, and after unforgettable live sets with Electric Zoo and Brownies & Lemonade, capshun now melds various musical dimensions in ‘Ethos’, from the dreamy echoes of ‘LUNA‘ to the genre-blending frenzy of ‘CARTEL‘ and the emotive crescendo of ‘BREATHLESS‘. In a captivating melange, he fuses trap’s vigor, future bass’s ethereal aura, and a dash of world music flair. With this release, capshun doesn’t just follow his earlier ‘Logos’ EP but carves out a broader narrative, showcasing the depth and dynamism in his sound.

GROMO – THE PROTAGONIST (FT. CHEVY WOODS)

New York’s genre-defying DJ and producer, Gromo, renowned for his eclectic taste that spans from hard rock and hip-hop to dubstep, is set to mesmerize fans with “The Protagonist,” a bass house collaboration with acclaimed rapper Chevy Woods of Taylor Gang fame. Their first joint effort was born from a virtual connection during the pandemic, bridging hip-hop’s compelling bars with the infectious beats of bass house. Gromo, an alum of NYU’s Clive Davis Institute and a global performer at Ultra events, brings his love for cinema into this venture. “The Protagonist” drops alongside a dystopian AI-created short film by Deadhanded, exploring the implications of the drug trade and its legalization in a future New York. This single heralds Gromo’s upcoming EP, “The Vortex,” which promises a journey into a blend of horror, sci-fi, and deep emotional narratives, further accentuated by accompanying kaleidoscopic visual tributes to iconic movies.

F.O.O.L x WAVESHAPER – ENCOUNTER [MONSTERCAT]

In a thrilling convergence of electronic mastery, F.O.O.L and Waveshaper, both luminaries in the electronic and wave scenes, have collaborated to produce the electrifying track, “Encounter,” out via the legendary Monstercat. This dynamic duo’s union sets the stage for F.O.O.L’s highly anticipated album, MACHINE, dropping in November. “Encounter” plunges into an immersive journey, with its hypnotic synths and riveting basslines. F.O.O.L, a Swedish prodigy recognized for his cinematic soundscapes, has amassed staggering streaming numbers, with tracks like “Criminals” earning billions of streams. Known for his iconic mask, he represents a gateway to a cyberpunk realm where bass-driven soundtracks dominate. Waveshaper complements him perfectly, with his 80s and 90s-inspired tones and notable contributions to gaming soundtracks and media giants like Netflix. Their combined prowess in “Encounter” tantalizingly heralds what’s to come with F.O.O.L’s upcoming album, teasing a sonic revolution.

TERNION SOUND – DIGITAL ARTIFICE LP

Electro-trio powerhouse, Ternion Sound, is set to launch their audacious album, “Digital Artifice,” on October 13th through the acclaimed VISION label helmed by Noisia. This isn’t just an album, but a potent commentary on the often superficial nature of today’s music consumption. Featuring collaborations with artists like Khallil, EMZ, and Crazy D, Ternion Sound veers from their known bass-heavy pulse, diving into sounds that invoke reflection and challenge industry standards. From the haunting first single “Artifice” to the breakbeat track “Amplify” featuring Khallil’s distinct vocals, the album epitomizes Ternion’s ethos. It calls listeners to resist the disposable nature of today’s digital art, urging them to experience the album’s designed continuity. Backed by intriguing visuals from designer Safe Haven, fans can also anticipate an album preview on VISION Radio and an extensive US tour in collaboration with The Widdler. With stops across prominent venues, Ternion Sound not only amplifies their music but celebrates the deep roots and diversity of their sound.
