The couple, Nash Grier and Taylor Giavasis have partnered up with Amazon on National Recycling Day to promote their sustainability mission with packaging and programs such as the Climate Pledge Friendly.
The couple dove straight into collaboration with Amazon without hesitation, with Grier becoming aware of his contributions to consumerism shortly after influencer fame came to him, saying, “Part of being an influencer is kind of being aware of what your consumers are, are consuming and what products they’re buying and how they’re getting them, and part of being a consumer is that as well… But as an influencer, I feel like there’s an extra step of responsibility.”
Sustainability and recycling became paramount, shaping their daily lives. Former vegans, Grier and Giavasis deepened their commitment to conscientious consumption.
The two are now using their platform to shout out Amazon’s sustainable practices—embracing recyclable boxes, shipping bags and the innovative “Ships in Product Packing” program, allowing items to ship in their original packaging and lowering the waste from online shopping.
Amazon has continues to expand their packaging, which cater to being 90% lighter than similar-sized boxes that were used previously. Since 2015, these changes have allowed Amazon to reduce the weight of packaging by 41% and avoided over 2 million metric tons of packaging globally.

Grier and Giavasis elaborate on integrating sustainability into their daily lives and instilling it in their two young children during the holidays. Refraining from wasteful gift wrap, they opt for environmentally friendly practices like crafting cardboard gingerbread houses with their kids.
In order to highlight products that meet sustainability standards and help preserve the natural world, Amazon also created the “Climate Pledge Friendly Program.” The couple’s top recommendations from the list include Honest diapers and wipes, alongside Tru Earth detergent strips.
Teaming up with Amazon, Grier and Giavasis aspire to amplify the message of Amazon’s sustainability efforts, underscoring the individual’s important role in making a positive impact.
