Keeping Up With Toronto: TRIPSIXX Announces ‘Metal Gear Tape’ Project
It’s about that time again! Keeping up with Toronto, TRIPSIXX was last seen turning up the scene with his single “Casino”. Now he’s back at it again, announcing a brand new tape called Metal Gear Tape via his Instagram.
“Casino” did numbers and had the hipsters in the city turnt up with its boastful rhymes about flexing on his frenemies letting them know that he pretty much does his own thang. But it is hardly new to him, his project We Own The Knight included some of his best work. He also dropped a mosh-pit anthem “Y-3” featuring his fellow label boss Roy Woods.

Last year, Hypebeast aptly labeled him the Hood Bryson Tiller & HNHH compared his music to Travi$ Scott and Young Thug.
Look out for his project coming soon. Judging from the timing of this news, probably sooner than later.

Louis Vuitton partners with OVO’s Oliver El-Khatib & Drake for Men’s SS 18
OVO’s Creative Director Oliver El-Khatib has announced a playlist curated by him for Louis Vuitton‘s Spring-Summer ’18 collection. The playlist includes new music from the OVO Sound label. Along with the DJ set, Drake premiered a brand new song titled “Signs”. Produced by OVO’s sound smith 40. The song premiered during Louis Vuitton’s fashion show earlier in Paris which you can hear at the 5m 55s mark in the clip below.
As far as the direction of the entire show goes, it was an interesting mix this year. The collection itself consisted of a variety of stunning pieces; a few fanny packs, some signature LV handbags, various overflowing belts, Hawaiian shirts, large drapey coats which compliment the brightly patterned shirts and vests. Ripstop pants, spandex shorts, the occasional jogger and oversized dress pants finish off the collection. Other accessories included bucket hats and sandals that added extra pizzaz to the line-up.
Current Men’s Artistic Director for LV, Kim Jones‘ choice of color palette this year was bold and bright with the exception of a few olives, whites, black and grays, which didn’t dull down the vision at all, adding a rather pristine balance. The 37-year-old designer’s future is looking promising as he continues to shock people with his creative outbreaks which began with his Louis Vuitton x Supreme 2017 fall/winter show.
Check out all the looks after the jump.
