Cotton Incorporated and Rue La La celebrated style this season with a special preview of the exclusive twelve-piece bespoke cotton collection at an evening reception hosted by the actress, model and author Molly Sims at Hotel Hugo’s downtown restaurant, Il Principe.

We got a few minutes with Sims to talk about the collection. When asked how she got involved with the Rue La La/Cotton Incorporated collection, Sims said, “I wrote a book called The Everyday Supermodel and I talk about fabrics that are easy and versatile especially for motherhood. Cotton is in my jeans, sleepwear, tshirts, dresses. They came to me. I’m a huge shopper of Rue La La and we wanted to collaborate on 12-15 pieces that girls can wear. We put together the 12 looks, part of the proceeds will go to a scholarship fund. What I think makes it really fun is that this is something you wear every day; its not just for a special occasion. I think it’s important how you look at every day without spending a ton of money. Your cotton shirtdress, your wrap dress, your t-shirts; those are things that you live in.”
What are Molly’s favorite everyday pieces? Sims says” My cotton wrap dresses are my favorite or I love a white button-down with a great heel and a pair of jeans. So chic”
Guests, including AnnaSophia Robb, Greta Lee and photographer Andrew Day, viewed the collection while enjoying music spun by DJ WUKASCH, as well as beverages and hors d’oeuvres.
The cotton collection for women includes designs by Nanette Lepore, Hudson Jeans, Michael Stars, J.McLaughlin, Alice & Trixie, Hutch, Chaser, Meiling, Elizabeth Gillette, Tamika Rivera and more which will are available for purchase only on RueLaLa.com for a limited time from September 9 – 16, 2015.
