The Bruce High Quality Foundation (BHQF) with co-chairs Joseph Mizzi, Zac Posen and Vito Schnabel honored Warhol superstar and art collector Jane Holzer at their annual benefit to support BHQFU, New York’s Freest Art School. The special event was held on Wednesday, May 18th at Julian Schnabel’s Palazzo Chupi, co-hosted by Alexander Acquavella, Bob Colacello, Alexander Dellal, Alexander Farnsworth, Tom Healy, Rashid Johnson, Jemima Kirke, Adam Lippes, Anna McKnight, Marilyn Minter, Jon Neidich & Alessandra Brawn, Michael Nevin, Bettina Prentice, Amy Rotter, and Tiffany Zabludowicz. Guests enjoed an intimate cocktail reception and dinner with a live art auction and musical performances from Canadian singer Syv De Blare & jazz group Onyx Collective. The evening also celebrated a benchmark in the core mission of BHQF with the launch of MFU, the first year-long studio and teaching residency to rival an MFA. The program is made available to artists for free, with a campus in Brooklyn and coming soon to Miami. All funds raised will go to BHQFU, art school and community space offering a full curricula of critique courses, studio residencies, and special events for a growing community of over 700 artists, poets, performers, writers and thinkers.
