The DNA collection delivers a crucial message with a bit of edge
On Sunday, September 10th Maison Blanche presents their 2024 Spring Collection at The Box, the infamous downtown nightclub. You can bet that the Spring Runway Show dares to be as much of a spectacle as the alluring risqué venue.
This was the second NYFW for Swiss designer Yannik Zamboni, who debuted an S/S Collection for Maison Blanche just last year.
Maison Blanche believes in embracing differences and vocalizing the discourse of unconventional topics. The brand disregards common, socially acceptable behavior. It redefines the boundaries of fashion practice by refusing to create only for specific genders and/or certain groups of people.
Zamboni partnered with “Tags Against Crime” for the 2024 presentation, looking to bring awareness to the importance of clothing in cases of sexual assault. The DNA collection is compromised of backward coats, cut outs garments, masks, and abstract headpieces.
Maison Blanche cultivates its philosophy of “(ab)normal,” striving to form its own ideologies by creating subversive content and “queer anti-fashion.”
The show is made up of an insanely talented mix of models celebrating the strength and fragility of our DNA.
