On Monday, TIDAL hosted their annual benefit concert at Barclays Center in NYC and this year the streaming service has teamed up with Rock The Vote. As the 2020 elections draw closer and closer, big companies everywhere are making it a priority to urge Americans to get educated and registered to vote.
And what better way to reach out to today’s young voters than with a star-studded line up in the heart of Brooklyn!
Stations for concertgoers to register to vote were provided in the lobby of the Downtown Brooklyn venue, as well as interactive Rock The Vote bracelets that lit up different colors during for each artist who performed.
Hosted by Power 105.1’s Angie Martinez and model Clarissa Molina, artists like Lil Uzi Vert, French Montana, Alicia Keys, Ty Dolla $ign, Doja Cat, Young MA, G-Eazy, Becky G and more took the stage to perform their hits while promoting voter awareness.
Grammy nominated singer-songwriter H.E.R. even made a surprise appearance mid show, performing her latest single “Slide” featuring fellow Cali native YG, as well as her song “Best Part” featuring Daniel Caesar.
Other performers included Lil Tecca, Carnage, CASANOVA, Lucky Daye, Dermot Kennedy, Angelica Vila, and Nicole Bus.
