Lauren Altman unveiled her Spring/Summer 2025 collection on September 10, 2024, in an invite-only presentation to fashion industry insiders and influences.

LAUREN ALTMAN NYFW SS25 Presentation on September 10, 2024.

Holding the presentation in a crowded art gallery in Manhattan’s Lower East Side is right on brand with Altman, who is a multidisciplinary artist herself. She highlighted her painterly background in both the look of her collection, as well as a showcase where the models held paint brushes and casually stood propped up against painted ladders.

The looks for both men and women alike were highly accessible streetwear fits. Altman envisioned a summer that is all about being bold — from big bright pops of nearly fluorescent color to tops with handprints over the chest to accessorizing looks with buttons and accessories.

In an industry where models of a certain look or body type tend to dominate — Altman also featured models of all ages and abilities. One model showed off her gray hair and another was sitting in a wheelchair — proving fashion is indeed for everyone.

About Lauren Altman

Multidisciplinary artist Lauren Altman, the creator of Lauren Altman Studio, specializes in crafting handmade upcycled clothing items that blend a playful, fashion-forward style with traditional utilitarian worker designs. Drawing upon her background in fine art and the fashion industry, Altman upcycles and converts jumpsuits, work suits, jackets, and outerwear into vibrant, wearable art pieces. Each collection shares the philosophy that fashion is a means for nurturing self-expression and confidence, while also contributing to a sustainable environment. Lauren’s clothing brand is a full-circle operation, fusing upcycled, artisanal, vintage, and deadstock fabrics, and even compost, to transform the old into new works of art.
