Tennis season is well underway and officially taking over New York. At the center of the action, Thompson Central Park is establishing itself as the ultimate off-court destination. In partnership with LALO Tequila and Epic Worldwide, the hotel launched The LALO Clubhouse—a vibrant series of events and lifestyle activations that bring together the best of sport, spirits, and sophisticated city energy.

The series kicked off with the exclusive FIRST SERVE launch event on August 22. Hosted at Parker’s, the party was electric from the moment guests arrived. In fact, while I was on my way over, I got a text from my friend Diego that said, “Get over here—everyone is gorgeous and the drinks are amazing.” Tastemakers, media, and tennis insiders gathered for an unforgettable evening filled with energy and elegance. Guests enjoyed ping pong matches and photo ops with LALO ambassadors Madison Keys (World No. 6) and Amanda Anisimova (World No. 8), while savoring caviar tastings presented by ROE Caviar and sipping signature LALO cocktails. With live U.S. Open coverage screening across the bar and lobby, the atmosphere buzzed with the unmistakable excitement of the tournament’s opening days.

But the best part? The celebration doesn’t stop there.
Running through September 7, The LALO Clubhouse is open daily to the public. Located in the hotel’s lobby soft seating and Parker’s, the space has been transformed into an immersive social hub for guests and locals alike. The activation includes a curated cocktail menu featuring LALO Tequila, tennis-inspired light bites, a photo wall, and even a ping pong table available to all—with paddles and balls on hand at the front desk. Live ESPN coverage of the tournament plays throughout the day, offering a relaxed yet stylish setting to catch the matches while enjoying top-tier hospitality.

For those looking to catch the action in a more low-key setting, the hotel’s iconic Burger Joint is offering U.S. Open coverage on the big screen throughout the tournament. Guests can grab a legendary burger and settle in to watch matches in a setting that’s as relaxed as it is beloved. The momentum continues into September with the return of Courtclub for a weeklong retail pop-up, open daily through 7, from 12:00 to 5:00 PM. Guests of the hotel will receive a 10% discount on all purchases simply by showing their room key. On September 3, Upper Stories guests will enjoy a special experience as Courtclub takes over the Upper Stories Lounge from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, offering an exclusive 20% discount on one-night-only offerings.
Thompson Central Park is also proud to serve as home base for two of the tournament’s standout players: Holger Rune (World No. 9) and Mirra Andreeva (World No. 5). Both are expected to make deep runs in this year’s U.S. Open, and their presence further positions the hotel as a true insider’s hub during tennis’s biggest moment in New York.
From the pulse of the opening party to the public events still happening daily, The LALO Clubhouse at Thompson Central Park is redefining what it means to be at the center of the U.S. Open—off the court. Whether you’re here for the matches, the cocktails, or simply the scene, Midtown has never felt more alive.
