With the season in full swing, nothing perfectly completes a celebratory menu like King’s Hawaiian Rolls. They are a classic, a must-have, and a staple on tables everywhere. We joined King’s Hawaiian to honor seventy-five years of the beloved bakery brand, along with the seventy-fifth anniversary of Bing Crosby’s timeless song, Mele Kalikimaka.
As we rode the elevator to our floor, a musician brought a Christmas classic to life, instantly setting the warm and festive tone. The venue had been transformed into a Hawaiian-inspired holiday oasis, featuring a beautifully built and decorated gingerbread station, custom ornaments to create keepsakes, and seasonal cocktails.
The highlight of the evening came when Hawaiian singer and American Idol winner Iam Tongi took the stage for the first live performance of Mele Kalikimaka. His soulful voice and effortless island charm filled the room with warmth. Guests swayed and smiled, fully immersed in a moment that felt nostalgic, celebratory, and completely transportive.
