On Wednesday evening, Kevin Harrington, the mastermind behind As Seen on TV and Shark Tank investor launched StarShop an app, available for both iPhone and Android, and site that allows shoppers to “tap into celebrity” with intimate, behind-the-scenes access to celebrities and their favorite products.
StarShop launched with dozens of starts including Beyoncé, Katie Perry, Eli Manning, Justin Bieber, Paula Abdul, Flo Rida, and Rihanna offering their own products as well as products they support. Shoppers also get exclusive VIP access to StarShop exclusive videos, fashion trends, makeover secrets, celebrity gossip and never before seen content and products that celebrities love. Key partners of StarShop include Tommy Hilfiger and Sprint’s Pinshight Media+.
The launch event was held high above Times Square in a space with gold start strung overhead and huge vintage sign spelling out StartShop. Guest were treated to manicures from Chrome Girl Nails, samples of customize hair care products from ProfilePRO. While sipping champagne and golden StarShop cocktails and enjoying the DJ, guests could try on Fendi and Prada bags and designer jewelry as well as test out the StarShop app. Attending the event was Kevin Harrington, StarShop President Brian Harrington, Paula Abdul, Rumer Willis, Miss J Alexander and Good Morning America’s Tory Johnson.
