Cult Gaia collaborated with TRESemmé for this seasons New York Fashion Week. Karim Belghiran was the lead stylist at he heals of boh. When asked about hair styling inspiration for the for the show Belghiran shared that they ” talked about how the whole collection is about the dream girl on a dream day.” They, being Jasmin Larian, creator and designer for Cult Gaia. To hear from the source about it, Belghiran and Larian asked girls “What would your dream hair be?” Belghiran stated that most girls said “Really long”. They created the signature styles for the show from those responses.
The infinite knot has long locks knotted at the nape of the neck and becomes a pony tail. The second signature hairstyle was the whisper wave look. It was a whimsical and free flowing hairstyle that only required some heat and product. The hair was meant to make you feel like you could “fly away in that moment of happiness” Belghiran said.
In the show promo you see a girl in a field of very green grass laying down. She is seemingly daydreaming. It was definitely an easter egg or hint of what the runway would look like. Whimsical mini hills surrounded the runway covered in the same green looking grass. It was the perfect backdrop as the models walked with dreamy knots and locks.
TRESemmé products helped define and refine all the looks on the runway. Belghiran walked The Knockturnal through the process and products including how and what they were used for. All the stylists used the “heat protection” spray before styling. Due to all the blow drying and curling irons.

These are the specific TRESemmé products that were used. Protecting Heat Styling Spray, Extra Hold Hairspray, A-List Collection Dry Texturizing Spray and the A-List Collection Bonding Oil.
Follow these steps to recreate the infinite knot as seen on the runway. First you need to prep the hair with TRESemmé Protecting Heat Styling Spray. Additionally, use it before curling the hair with an iron to enhance its natural texture. Use your fingers to help smooth the hair while you are blow-drying. Next up, you can spray TRESemmé Extra Hold Hairspray onto your hands. Then you should run your hands through the hair to reduce frizz and create a more polished finish. Create the knot in the hair, using a little TRESemmé A-List Collection Dry Texturizing Spray. That will help maintain the shape. Lastly, use a small amount of TRESemmé A-List Collection Bonding Oil on the ends. This is best for hydration and a subtle shine.
You can shop all these products and more at TRESemmé.com or your local Target, Walmart and major hair care retailer.
