New York Fashion Week Men’s Spring 17 shows ended in quite a bang Thursday, as American industry juggernaut John Varvatos closed the shows in the evening and opened a new fragrance in his existing “Dark Rebel” line.
Varvatos says of his new fragrance Dark Rebel Rider “Just like my clothes [the fragrance] is iconic, timeless, and represents a courageous attitude. It is a clear expression of a personality that defies the norm”. His Bowery store was near unrecognizable as Tyler Bryant and the Shakedown rocked the club-like atmosphere around 10 PM. The vibe fell in sync with the both the fragrance as well as his new collection entitled “The Urban Romantic”. As the night went on, party goers grooved to the sound of rock and roll while seemingly disregarding the intensely hot New York night.
In attendance were fellow musicians Machine Gun Kelly, Travis Mills, and actor Corey Hawkins. Dark Rebel Rider is inspired by Russian leather, and melds cocoa bean, vanilla, atlas cedarwood, patchouli, and tarred madras to add a dark sweetness to the aroma. Currently, the fragrance is exclusively available at Bloomingdale’s and will be available elsewhere beginning August 2016.
