If You’re Rocking Your Curls This Summer You Might Want to Check These Out

In the world of curls, summer is the perfect time to let your hair be free. However, if you have curls, you know that frizz, dryness, and knots can quickly ruin a good hair day. As a curly girl and self-proclaimed curl enthusiast, I’m excited to tell you which products are on my radar to keep your coils in-tact, hydrated, and super defined.

At the top of my list is ‘Tresemmé Curl Hydrate’ leave-in curl cream. I admit I’m slightly biased as Tresemmé is one of my favorite brands for hair. Tresemmé is an incredibly inclusive brand that truly has something for everyone. I’m in love with this leave-in because it leaves the hair super hydrated. I have a naturally dry kinkier texture that coil up and constantly need moisture. If you don’t already know this about curly hair, the curlier the hair, the more moisture you need to keep the frizz at bay. One of my favorite things about the Tresemmé Curl Hydrate leave-in is that it comes with a healthy amount of product. There’s nothing worse than having a good product but having to use half the bottle. This leave-in retails for only $4.99 which makes it easy to stock up on for any “wash and go” lover.

Dove Care Between Washes ‘Re-styling Milk’ is fantastic for adding a little extra moisture in between wash days. For someone with kinkier textured curls, like myself, I try to condition my hair as frequently as possible but skipping a day or two happens. The Dove ‘Re-styling Milk’ is perfect for getting some moisture into my hair to re-shape and detangle my hair. The formula isn’t super heavy or greasy so it can be used on multiple textures. For only $4.88 it’s another product that’s hard to pass up on. Shea Moisture is a huge brand known to have products for all hair textures. For any hair texture using the right shampoo and conditioner is the key to having a great hair day. The ‘Make It Last Wash N’ Go’ shampoo and conditioner is part of Shea Moisture’s Coconut Custard line. This particular line is perfect for anyone with a kinkier texture that loves a lasting ‘wash n’ go’. Both the shampoo and conditioner have a very creamy texture to keep curls hydrated. The ‘Make It Last’ shampoo is a low-lather sulfate-free cleanser that’s made to not strip or dry out your curls. The ‘Make It Last’ conditioner is the ideal conditioner for anyone with 3-4 type curls dues to its extremely hydrating formula. This must-haves retail for $11.99.

The Good Stuff is a newer brand that has one sulfate-free shampoo and six no-rinse conditioners. The brands got the idea from a standard skin care regimen “…you wouldn’t wash off your moisturizer, so why rinse off your conditioner?” Being that curly hair needs moisture, using a conditioner that is made to stay in your hair makes sounds perfect. If you’re on a weekly wash day schedule using this conditioner is perfect for a quick wash and go refresher. The ‘Intensive Nourishment Cream’ is perfect to keep your curls, moisturized and frizz-free. Alongside being an amazing product ‘The Good Stuff’ prides themselves on being an environmentally conscious brand with their bottles being 100% recycled and recyclable. This planet friendly conditioner retails for $7.99.
