Tedy Andreas is a fast-rising star out of Houston, gaining a lot of attention for his custom laid-back fly lyricism and catchy hooks. Continuing to entertain his newfound fans, Tedy Andreas unveils his latest visual for the popular track, “Diamonds”.
In the new video, Tedy Andreas resembles a diamond with his shiny and flawless flow. The VHS-laced production is carried by a smooth ascending bass line, and an eerie flute sample section as the crisp percussion gives a throwback feel as Andreas coolly spits over the track.
Tedy Andreas on the making of “Diamonds”:
“My homie producer VHS made the beat, and as soon as I heard it, I knew I had the hook for it. This was around the start of December, there was a snowstorm going on in New York, so I was stuck at the home studio making music all day. I wrote it quickly, the bars were just coming out of me the second I heard the sample play.”
Andreas credits his style to the collection of East Coast legends Nas and Infamous Mobb Deep. Tedy has been a fan of the golden age of 90s Hip-Hop since his early years, fascinated with the gritty street attitude and cutthroat lyricism famed by iconic acts like Wu-Tang Clan, Notorious B.I.G., and more.
