Gibson Brands – the world’s most iconic guitar brand – rocked the house on Thursday night at their 2019 Gibson NAMM Jam.
On Thursday night, January 24, Gibson kicked off the Winter 2019 NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Show with Gibson NAMM Jam at the Grove of Anaheim in California. Guests were greeted with cocktails, appetizers, and a whole range of buffet items from street tacos to prime rib to enjoy before the performances started. Gibson artists, players, and fans alike experienced the true Gibson experience and the All-American made instrument rejuvenated.
Gibson CEO, James Curleigh (“JC”) opened up the performances and remarked how Gibson is on the uptrend under his leadership and a remarkable executive team. Curleigh commented, “we are working to get back to the iconic Gibson title that we’ve earned and will continue to develop together.” Comedian and actor, Jeff Garlin, provided humorous commentary between sets and added colorful banter with the main house band lead by Jimmy Vivino, Kenny Arnoff, Rolling Stones touring bassist Daryl Jones, and Jeff Young.
The night rocked on with performances from Jared James Nichols, Heart’s Nancy Wilson, Cam, Emily Wolfe, Black Pistol Fire, The Doors’ Robby Krieger, Peter Frampton, Steve Mackey, and rounded out with ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons. Guests were constantly in high spirits with the unmatched sound of Gibson and the talent that brought the instrument to life. Gibson has high potential to continue to build on their legacy and we are excited to see what the future holds for this icon.
