Guests quite literally came from around the world to toast to the 70th birthday of Miami Beach’s most iconic hotel: The Fontainebleau.
Of course, it’s also a months-long (five, to be specific) celebration of Fontainebleau Las Vegas opening its glamorous doors on the Strip.
Travel industry insiders have gathered in Los Angeles this year for the annual IPW conference, held in a different host city each year.
So naturally, with leading voices in hospitality and travel from around the world already centered in LA, it was a perfect night to celebrate the anniversary of one of the most legendary hotels in America: The Fontainebleau.
Held at the rooftop pool deck at Level 8 in Downtown Los Angeles, the event welcomed some travel luminaries including Peter Greenberg. Cocktails and delicious hors d’oeuvres of sashimi, mini burgers, chicken, and shrimp lettuce cups were served throughout the celebration, which turned out to be a very windy night indeed. Guests also competed in a little giveaway prize raffle and everyone was sent home with a pair of special dice in honor of Vegas’ hotel opening.
The Fontainebleau Miami Beach, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is one of Miami’s most historically, culturally, and architecturally significant hotels in the city. Located on oceanfront Collins Avenue in the heart of Millionaire’s Row, the iconic hotel has been featured in movies and television shows ranging from the 1964 James Bond film Goldfinger to The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
The Fontainebleau Las Vegas just opened its doors in December 2023, but is already a hotspot in the most hotspots of towns.
