Big Sean and Jhene Aiko are TWENTY88, their 70s inspired aesthetics are depicted as they fall ‘Out of Love’ in their new short film.
‘Out of Love’ directed by Lawrence Lamont (also directed Big Sean’s “IDFWU” video) is a 15 minute visual connected to their recent release. The short film sheds light on adult film superstars who seem to struggle in their relationship both on and off screen. The chemistry between the duo is undeniable as fornication, infidelity and passion play out over each track from the album.
Aiko said “It’s a ’70s aesthetic, but we’re in the future” in an interview with Flaunt Magazine. According to their interview, TWENTY88’s motive stemmed from various influences including Pam Grier’s Coffy, Roger Moore’s James Bond films, mixed with 2015’s sci-fi smash Ex Machina.
The visuals were released exclusively on Tidal, and is now available for watching on YouTube. Take a look at ‘Out of Love’ short film featuring a small Cameo from O’shea Jackson Jr. and Jhene’s edgy burnt orange wig.
