Bake‘N Bacon is a black-owned restaurant by Kelvin Alexander and Justin Coleman. The restaurant embodies a good time and good eats.

The two have developed a unique menu of hand-crafted drinks and various recipes for the ultimate bacon lover. The New Jersey natives both experienced a swift shift in careers with Alexander with a background in healthcare and Coleman with a background in performing arts. When the two shared their interest in one day opening a restaurant, “The Bacon Goodness,” was born.

The pair used their culinary talents to create Bake’N Bacon Food Trucks in 2019 specializing in gourmet bacon sandwiches. After catering events around the city, Kelvin and Justin now own three food trucks and Philadelphia’s first and only, bacon-inspired restaurant.

The two opened their restaurant last December and is the perfect spot for happy hour. Their happy hour menu includes items like their Asian Ginger Wings. These wings have the right amount of crispness and are covered in a sweet and savory sauce that will make you come back for more. They also offer a hearty dish called Nana’s Southern Treat. This dish consists of mashed potatoes topped with short ribs, pickled onions, and a side of cornbread.

The restaurant also offers cocktails like no other with its liquid gold cocktail. The liquid gold cocktail looks like melted gold in your glass and shimmers with every sip. The Pink Panther is another must-have drink when you visit with its alluring pink color. Nothing tops off a meal like having dessert, a slice of their homemade pound cake topped with a homemade bacon caramel sauce.

Bake’N Bacon is health-conscious about various dietary needs and offers vegan options as well. There is much more to come from Bake’N Bacon such as brunch and kicking off the summer with karaoke.

To keep up with “the bacon goodness,” you can visit their website and follow them on Instagram and TikTok to keep up with the food truck and the restaurant. If you are a bacon connoisseur, Bake’N Bacon is the spot to visit at 1148 S 11th St, Philadelphia, PA 19147.
