Exclusive: Sam Heughan & Tom Hopper Talk ‘SAS: Red Notice’ [Video]

Expect to sweat.

SAS: Red Notice stars Sam Heughan, Ruby Rose, and Tom Hopper. I’ve never seen such a beautiful cast of characters in such an action-packed movie. Sorry, Bruce Willis. The film kicks off with a bang! (Literally.) You meet the ruthless Ruby Rose (Batwoman) and immediately determine that she is not someone you want to cross… even on a good day. It’s Sam Heughan’s (Outlander) job to capture Rose, however, he’s slightly distracted by his intention to ask his girlfriend to marry him.

Heughan manages to convince his lady to take a spontaneous trip to Paris when their Eurostar is hijacked by Rose and co. beneath the English Channel. Not exactly an Instagrammable engagement photo but ok.

In the film, Tom Hopper (Game of Thrones) works closely with Sam as a highly trained British soldier. He tells The Knockturnal’s Kinsey Schofield that if production allows it, he always jumps at the chance to do his own stunts! Sam Heughan is right there with him. Which made the filming process a fantastic experience for both men.

Want to know how to kill a man with a cell phone? Ask Sam! Andy McNab (who created SAS: Red Notice) trained closely with the star and taught him “a gazillion ways to kill a man.” Spoiler: You specifically see the cell phone death in SAS: Red Notice! Wowza! It was important for Sam to look comfortable with his weapons so working with the former British Army infantry soldier was crucial to the experience.

The film is fun, moves quickly, and is something that I think both you and your significant other will enjoy! SAS: Red Notice premieres in America on March 16th, 2021.
