Rose Leslie and Theo James star in Season 1 of The Time Traveler’s Wife, which premieres on HBO Max on May 15th.
Steven Moffat based the show on a novel of the same name created by Audrey Niffenegger. The story follows Clare Abshire and Henry DeTamble, played by Leslie and James. The drama series captures the spellbinding and intricately out-of-order love story between the two while incorporating aspects of marital problems, loss, love, and time travel. Both characters attempt to navigate through a series of events reflected in both the past and the present that affect their relationship with themselves and each other. James’ character suffers from a genetic disorder that makes him time travel which causes a strain on the couple’s marriage. The series will depict moments of survival, pain, and the eagerness to love as each character embodies their role to create a captivating storyline. Each hour-long episode will expertly weave themes and moments that help guide the story.
