In post-WWII America, a woman, rebuilding her life in the suburbs with her husband, kidnaps her neighbor and seeks vengeance for the heinous war crimes she believes he committed against her.
The film is a remake of Death and the Maiden based on the 1990 play of the same title by famed playwright Ariel Dorfman. It is directed by Yuval Adler from a script by Ryan Covington and Yuval Adler. Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Erik Howsam, Greg Shapiro, and Adam Riback all served as producers on the film.
We caught up with the film’s stars Noomi Rapace, Chris Messina and Amy Seimetz to talk about working on their new film, life during quarantine, and the importance of dealing with trauma. The film was released in a limited release on September 16, 2020, but will be followed by a video on demand on October 16, 2020.
