Kerry Washington is moving lightning fast as one of the newest voices of Disney Pixar’s Cars 3. Washington joins a cast of new faces, Lea Delaria, Lewis Hamilton and Cristela Alonzo, as she makes her transition to the world of animation.
Lead of ABC’s hit television show Scandal, Washington is lending her voice as, Natalie Certain, the highly respected statistical analyst who knows everything there is to know about numbers. Washington’s character, Certain, may have all the answers about numbers, but she is in for a lesson in determination.
Cars 3 premieres in theaters with the same acclaimed cast, Lightning McQueen played by Owen Wilson and Mater played by Larry the Cable Guy. Along with some accredited new cast members, Armie Hammer and Nathan Fillion.
The premiere of the animation trilogy will have the same spirit of grit and intense friendship character to the series. Lightning McQueen must find his way back to the sport he loves, and in turn meet some interesting characters along the way. There will be some new challenges and lessons to be learned for Natalie Certain and the cast alike.
Directed by the series storyboard artist, Brian Fee, and the A Bug’s Life producer, Kevin Reher, Cars 3 races into theaters on June 16, 2017.
