Written and directed by Veena Sud, The Lie follows the life of Kayla [King] and her parents. With her parents being divorced, sheβs had difficulty coming to terms with the co-parenting awkwardness of it all. When her and her best friend get into a fight, things take a turn for the worst. After she confessed to impulsively throwing her best friend off a bridge, and killing her; she seeks her parents help.
