Exclusive: Asher Grodman Talks CBS’ “Ghosts”, Teaching Acting and Working with the Jacksonville Jaguars

If you have ever watched the hit CBS series “Ghosts,” you probably have seen Asher Grodman walking around without pants.

The explanation for that reveals that his character was once a very nice person, who sacrificed his pants to help someone close to him. However, in his experience in the afterlife, he has adapted a more passive-aggressive personality.

Portraying a ghost, Grodman’s character of Trevor Lefkowitz is a playful combination of a frat boy and Wall Street “finance bro” from the early 2000s.

Ghosts aired back in 2021 and is about a young couple that ,“inherits a huge rundown country estate, only to find it is teeming with ghosts.”

The series is now about halfway through Season 3, which Grodman shared has just wrapped production. In addition to Ghosts, Grodman has made appearances on shows such as Succession (HBO) and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (NBC).

For him, having a balance of comedy and drama on his resume is a way for him to keep his skills “fresh.”

He has also had the opportunity to take on the role of director when the Jacksonville Jaguars allowed him to co-direct, write, produce and star in their schedule reveal video last year.

This concept was special because he was inspired by the idea that the games in the NFL are scripted and the final scores are predetermined. Grodman pokes fun at this conspiracy theory and has the team’s players portraying themselves as characters.

Aside from his many opportunities to act and cultivate creative projects, Grodman is also giving back to the next generation of actors, through his teachings as an adjunct professor at Hunter College.

Prior to this position,  he taught acting to inmates at Rikers Island, noting that many of his students were teenagers.

Grodman expressed that he hoped he left a positive impact on those individuals, as we both agreed that having an involvement in the arts is a meaningful experience that can help you in many aspects of life.

Asher Grodman anticipates fans seeing the remainder of the third season of Ghosts, hinting that there are new ghost powers that will be revealed in the coming episodes.

The third season of the highly anticipated series will be airing over the next few months and is available to stream on Paramount+.
