A weekend full of food and fun

With the weather cooling down for Fall, it’s finally the perfect time to go out and experience some of the festivals that New York City has to offer.  And last weekend EEEEEATSCON returned after a three year hiatus to reintroduce some of the best food NYC has to offer.  Hosted at Forest Hills Stadium from October 8-9, guests were able to experience delicious food from over 30 restaurants located in New York City.  Some of our favorite food vendors included Pecking House and their amazing fried chicken as well as Semma for their lamb dish as well as their cooling and delicious Mango Lassi.  And for dessert we had to try Best Damn Cookies and we can attest that these cookies were damn good.

Paired alongside the many food vendors were some spirits vendors to supply guests with some delicious cocktails.  Aperol was one of the sponsors for EEEEEATSCON and was one of our favorite spots to hang out at.  The booth was decked out with a swingset for some great boomerangs, a reflective orange dome for some amazing pictures, and an Aperol Spritz bus where guests could order the classic refreshing cocktail, the Aperol Spritz.  This one was definitely one of our favorite drinks to order just because it paired well with all the food we ordered.

EEEEEATSCON also featured more activities for guests to indulge in like live music and DJs throughout the day as well as live speakers.  On Saturday, EEEEEATSCON featured the household mogul Martha Stewart where a select few guests got to hear her speak and then ask Martha a few questions too.  On the Sunday event, guests were treated to the hilarious Hassan Minhaj as the guest speaker.

With all the festivals that New York City hosts, it’s easy to get overwhelmed.  But the next time EEEEEATSCON rolls around, we highly recommend checking it out.  With a ton of food options that all taste incredible to fun cocktails like the Aperol Spritz, EEEEEATSCON is on our list of festivals to check out again next year.
