The “Night Before” has turned into “The Day After.”
A-List Communications’ “Super Suite by STK” hosted The Creative Coalitions’ annual “Night Before” celebration of arts in America last night at STK DC on DuPont Circle.
[slideshow]Celebs from all over were brought together at Capital Hill to advocate their support for the arts in America. Some of the familiar faces includedEmily Ratajkowski (Gone Girl), Nina Dobrev (The Vampire Diaries), Rosario Dawson (Daredevil), Neve Campbell (House of Cards), Wendi McLendon-Covey (The Goldbergs), AnnaLynne McCord (90210), Constance Zimmer (UnREAL), Lisa Edelstein (Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce), Richard Schiff (The West Wing, Rogue), Esai Morales (The Brink), along with DC Senator Paul Strauss, Ohio State Senator Capri Cafaro, MCNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell and film producer Matthew Rhodes (Whiplash).
Guests were met with quite the menu thanks to STK DC chef Joe Heskin. The menu was filled with an array of specialty items including Mini Tuna Tartare, Duck Liver Foie Gras Mousse, Mini Crab Salad and Crispy Rock Shrimp, and those were just appetizers. Once guests were seated they were treated to a Baby Beet Salad, a 14 oz. Dry Aged Kansas City Strip with roasted mushrooms and a foie reduction, Chilean Sea bass with hearts of palm purée, or Brick Roasted Chicken with pomme purée, blackberry jus and arugula. To top it all off guests enjoyed an Apple Crumb Cake with vanilla ice cream. Most washed it all down with Dobel Black Diamond Margaritas, Dobel Sparklers, Blue Moon Beer, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Cabernet.
Amongst the chit-chat, eating and fun these were some of the stand out moments of the evening, Annalynne McCord carefully guarded her cleavage in a plunging neckline dress with tinted crosses adorning the front, Rosario Dawson rushed to the carpet and didn’t have time to put on heels but her black suede boots looked just fine, Constance Zimmer is always the life of the party, quippy, arch and posing for photos with the sponsors, Esai Morales nearly choked himself up on the dais in an impassioned appeal for donations on behalf of the Creative Coalition.
The evening was also presented by Dobel Tequila, Blue Moon Brewing and Line 39 Wines.
