An upscale twist on the classic gift exchange game
Last week, American fashion designer to the stars, Christian Siriano, hosted the Elegant White Elephant Exchange party. The event was hosted at the PUBLIC Hotel in Downtown New York City and wanted to create an elevated twist on the classic holiday tradition. During the night, guests were able to sip on a variety of cocktails provided by some of the best spirits which include Avión Reserva 44 Extra Añejo Tequila, Jameson Black Barrel Irish Whiskey, The Glenlivet 14 Year Old, and Aberlour 12 Year Scotch. 
During the party, guests were handed numbers which represented the order in which they pick their gifts. And the rules for the White Elephant Gift Exchange is that each person picks a gift and the person after can either pick a new gift or steal a gift from someone prior. However, a gift can only be stolen twice. And during the main event, Christian Siriano took the stage to host the exchange and provide some lively commentary to keep spirits high. What made this party even more exciting was that artist Johnathan Schultz provided a few items of his own creation. Guests of the event were able to take a look at Schultz’s hand painted 23K gold Bespoke Cocktail Trunk which was valued at $22,000. On top of this trunk, during the gift exchange, Schultz included one of his own pieces into the mix. The item was a White Elephant sculpture that was 3D printed and adorned with white gold. This gift valued at $10,000 was stolen twice throughout the night and was the item that everyone was hoping to get.
