The Leslie-Lohman Museum embraces the rich creative history of the LGBTQ art community by educating, informing, inspiring, entertaining, and challenging all who enter its doors. The museum hosted an Annual Founders Day Celebration presented by Caliche Rum.
The Museum brings a new perspective providing viewers with a personal context and insight into artists as individuals never seen before. The commemorative evening included a live and silent auction and live music by Steven Blier, New York Festival of Song, Jesse Blumberg and Scott Murphree. In celebration of the release of Kevin Clark’s new biography on Charles Leslie and Fritz Lohman, Kevin and Charles signed copies of The Art of Looking for guests throughout the evening. As a proud supporter of the LGBT community, specialty Caliche Rum concoctions, including the Golden Leslie-Lohman and the Cali Daiquiri, were served along with artisanal bites to toast the Third Annual Founders Day Celebration and the launch of Leslie + Lohman’s new biography.
