On Wednesday March 29th 2023, I had the honor of attending BEBE’s Spring Summer 2023 preview festival collection. When you think of the 2000’s nostalgia, my mind automatically pops up an image of a bedazzled tank top with the words BEBE in bold written all over it. BeBe is a brand that we all know and love. Bebe was founded in 1976, but 2003 is when their impact was made; Bebe’s sportswear and activewear was all anyone could talk about and wear; we are now in the year 2023 and Bebe is still a hot and iconic line to rock.

BeBe hosted their Festival preview in a showroom that had a lovely display of the brands newest pieces. Denim has been the hot ticket and BeBe has incorporated the best denim pieces I’ve ever seen. BeBe is a brand that sticks to classic pieces but will add a fun cut out, a play on structure, details and even embellishments. BeBe is known for its sexy and feminine outfits, just like the iconic bandage dress of the 2000’s that have always made women feel confident, flirty and fun. Festival season is a particularly special launch for the brand because it’s a combination of all the pieces consumers love, with an even more urban twist. Think of Coachella meets 2006 and a hint of 2023 trends.

While viewing the collection, there was fashion that was made for each and every type of event I could imagine a consumer going to; a summer concert, picnic/park date, rooftop party, pool party, etc and I wanted every single piece. From fringe, denim, jumpsuits, bandage dresses, T-shirts and accessories to match, festival season is going to be a show stopper. BeBe will and always be an iconic staple in fashion, if you wasn’t wearing BeBe then baby what are you doing?

Throughout my tour of Bebe, I was introduced to the brand Hurley, those of you who aren’t aware, Hurley is known for having surfing and swimwear. Over the past few years they have changed direction with how surf wear looks and feels, especially with female surfers who want to look cute but still stay protected. In collaboration with nationally known surfer Carissa Moore, the most recent Hurley drop has been fun and functional. Surf wear is usually heavy duty, grey, not too colorful and functional. Carissa Moore brought her personality to this collaboration with Hurley, incorporating tropical flowers, vibrant colors and light weight fabrics that still maintain the functionality and protection that traditional surf wear is made from. This is a huge step in the right direction for inclusivity for women to be expressive while enjoying the sports that they love.

This March was National Women’s Month and to have a phenomenal women such as Carissa Moore headlining and releasing a collaboration to encourage women to be unapologetically who they are no matter what, while looking and feeling good is just the positivity this world needs. Women are constantly competing in this world to be equals, the least we can do while actively proving ourselves, is kicking butt in style!

Congratulations to the BeBe team and Hurley for constantly producing products with a story and a purpose; this is will last a lifetime and everyone come get your pieces launching and available for purchase Hurley May 1st, BeBe’s drop is active right now, so come get it while it’s hot, I know I will
