On Saturday, August 21st, Betsey Johnson and Sparkling Ice held a pool party at the one and only Infinity House in South Hampton.
I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t take the first opportunity to step into a world filled with Betsey Johnson’s eccentric accessories, patterned dresses, and rhinestoned covered shoes. As soon as I was given a chance, I immediately dropped everything, called out of work (I really hope my clients don’t read this), summoned my bestie, Nahiya Rose, and embarked on another voyage to the ICA’s Infinity House in South Hampton. After presenting my vaccine card, I walked into what I imagine to be the mind of Betsey Johnson. I immediately grabbed a Ruby Fizz Sparkling Ice Spiked and shimmied my way through the crowd over to the Betsey Johnson accessories table. As a fan of Betsey’s eccentric and embellished accessories, it was tough not to grab everything off the table and run, but I did get a chance to pick my favorite piece. A few steps over from the accessory station was a wall covered in rhinestone-covered shoes; another difficult choice was to be made. I selected these gorgeous silver rhinestone-covered sneakers. As if partying poolside to DJ Mac Joesph’s incredible mixes, shopping one of the most iconic women in fashion’s accessories and Betsey Johnson and Quay sunglasses being up for grabs on almost every table; Ultimate Champion of Rupauls Drag Race season 6, Jiggly Caliente gave an exciting performance.
While Betsey Johnson herself was not in attendance, some pretty cool guests and incredibly talented digital creators were in attendance. Swimsuit model, Nina Adgal, strutted around in the Cherry Print Betseys Vintage Inspired Fit and Flair Dress. Digital creators and my personal favorite influencers for some style inspiration, Greivy, and Jessica Taylor Stevenson, were also in attendance.
