Don’t you just hate production delays?

Catherina "Cat" Gioino is a native New Yorker, a huge movie buff and an amateur pizzaiolo. She currently works in transportation policy in New York, and previously was a breaking news reporter for the New York Daily News, and had stints at MSNBC, NY1, PBS and the Queens Gazette-- and was at The Knock since the beginning. When she's not biking around her hometown of Astoria or testing out the train system of another country, you can find her slinging wine and drinks at a friend's local bar.
He’s the man. I mean, who else would go up to someone and tell them that “No one will believe you” ? Who else will crash a game of kickball on Roosevelt Island? Who else will crash SXSW and serve drinks behind the bar? Who else will crash—
Ok we get the point. Bill Murray really wanted to be in Wedding Crashers but the part went to Will Ferrell instead. But nonetheless, only Bill Murray would be in A Very Murray Christmas, a Netflix film set to release on December 4, 2015, which was written and directed by Sofia Coppola.
These are the kinds of movies that people can only dream of. The film will star a bunch of people– as themselves, with Murray playing himself as he worries that no one will show up for his Christmas party because of the snowstorm outside rampaging through New York City. Well, if the storm is anything like last year, I can tell you personally, Mr. Murray, that New Yorkers don’t care about curfews and they’ll show up nonetheless.
Anyhow, the comedy will feature George Clooney, Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, Miley Cyrus, Phoenix, Michael Cera, Jason Schwartzman, Maya Rudolph, Chris Rock, Paul Shaffer, and more — all as themselves. Check out the newest trailer below, and hold your horses until December 6 rolls around.
We love Ben Falcone and Melissa McCarthy, and we’re pretty sure they love each other almost as much. So when there’s another movie with the duo, we just could not help but find out more about it and our next obsession.
The Boss is the next film written and directed by Ben Falcone and written and starring Melissa McCarthy. Coming on April 8, 2016 by Universal Pictures, the film will follow the story of Michelle Darnell, played by McCarthy, who is sent to prison after being found guilty of insider trading. After she is released, she hopes to start afresh and make herself known as a caregiving and wonderful person, although she is haunted by the people whose money she took and must make amends.
The film will star a huge boatload of people we would love to see in a comedy like this, including Kristen Bell, Peter Dinklage, Tyler Labine, Margo Martindale, Kathy Bates, Cecily Strong, Kristen Schaal, Annie Mumolo, Timothy Simons, Ella Anderson, Carrot Top, and more. With Falcone, McCarthy, Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, and Chris Hency producing the film, we sure can bet it’s going to be laugh out loud hilarious. Filming began on March 12, 2015 in Georgia.
This past Thursday, stars and museum lovers came together for the American Museum of Natural History’s annual benefit gala. In attendance include Tina Fey, Lorne Michaels, Steve Martin, and most of the Saturday Night Live cast.
Coming out just in time for Valentine’s Day next year, How to Be Single will, well, hopefully tell us how to be single.

Taron Egerton, Hugh Jackman, Christopher Walken To Star In ‘Eddie the Eagle’
If you’re like me, you have two great loves in life: ski jumping and Christopher Walken. And when you find out that there’s going to be a movie with Christopher Walken about ski jumping, you can sure bet that the excitement is extraordinary.
That’s what Eddie the Eagle is going to be about- a British American sports comedy with Taron Egerton, Hugh Jackman, and Christopher Walken, about the 1980s Olympic ski jumper Eddie “The Eagle” Edwards. Directed by Dexter Fletcher and produced by Matthew Vaughn, Adam Bohling, David Reid, Rupert Maconick, and Valerie Van Galder, the film started shooting from March 9 to May 3 2015 at Pinewood Studios, London, and Germany.
Eddie the Eagle was the first ski jumper from Britain to participate in the Olympics. In Calgary of 1988, he lost both his competitions, but his story is inspiration because of the people involved. Jackman and Walken will play fictional characters in the film based on true people in Edwards’ life. Jackman will be Edward’s main coach, Bronson Peary, and Walken will be the mentor to both Edwards and Peary, Warren Sharp. The idea to make their characters fictional was because Edwards had numerous coaches in both Britain and in the United States and so the filmmakers thought it would be less confusing and more personal to go along the one coach route.
The film is set to come out April 29, 2016, and it will detail Edwards’ practice before the actual Olympic games, detailing how he had no funding, not even a budget to buy actual prescription goggles so he ended up wearing glasses under his goggles which made seeing a near impossibility.
Tarzan. Which one do you think of? For me, it’s the 1999 Disney film, others, the Ron Ely 1966 television series Tarzan, as well as the 1970 film, Tarzan: A Deadly Silence.
And for this generation, it’s going to be the Alexander Skarsgard version, set to release on July 1, 2016. The film, directed by David Yates and written by Stuart Beattie, Craig Brewer, John Colle, and Adam Cozad, will star a number of well known people, including Skarsgard as Tarzan, Margot Robbie as Jane Porter, as well as Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson, and Djimon Hounsou.
The story’s premise will follow Tarzan a while after he left Africa, to live on a civilized life with his wife Jane, as he lives as John Clayton III, or also called, Lord Greystroke. As he returns to Africa to serve as a trace emissary, he soon gets involved in Belgium Captain Rom’s (Waltz) deadly plot and now he must make amends and stop him before things go terribly wrong. Jackson will play George Washington Williams and Hounsou will play Chief Mbonga.
The film itself is almost twelve years in the making, as John August was asked in 2003 to make a live adaptation of the story in modern day times. The script bounced around a bit, Michael Phelps’ name was even attached to the project, and now it landed safely to premiere on its July date.
