Apple TV+ Showcases Highest 2 Lowest Star in New York

Just weeks after arriving in select movie theaters, Apple TV+ and A24, along with Spike Lee, celebrated the streaming debut of Lee’s new film “Highest 2 Lowest” with an intimate A Stackin’ Hits Records showcase event held at New York City’s Water Street Associates building.

The event was named after the fictional record label founded by Denzel Washington’s character, David King, in the movie.

Lee himself was in attendance along with singer and movie cast member Aiyanna Lee (no relation to Spike). Aiyanna plays Sula, a singer looking for her big musical break. At the showcase, she performed the movie’s title track, which she sings in the movie. Before performing, she spoke briefly about how she came to meet Spike as he sat on the side and listened to her heartfelt words. Other celebrity guests in attendance included singer Omarion. Guests also got the chance to experience what it is like being filmed using Lee’s double dolly filmmaking technique.

Guests were also able to try a selection of specialty curated Highest 2 Lowest themed cocktails and hors d’ouvre, and have baseball caps featuring Stackin Hits logo personalized. Guests were also left with complimentary Apple Beats Studio Pro headphones with a note from Spike.

“Highest 2 Lowest” is currently streaming on Apple TV+.
