Ponthier mesmerized the crowd by performing various songs from the 27-year-old’s discography. Including tunes from her first extended play, Faking My Death, released in 2021. She performed tunes such as “Cowboy” and “Faking My Death.”
Allison’s latest and groundbreaking E.P., “Shaking Hands With Elvis” (2022), also left a massive influence and imprint on the setlist. It was a captivating blend of classics, B-sides, and newer music. Her latest E.P. showcased creativity and solidified her status as a trailblazing force within the music.
The song that resonated deeply within the audience’s hearts was the remarkable closing track from the uplifting set, “Character Development.” Crafted in a collaborative effort with K. Flay and Tommy English. In an interview with UDiscoverMusic, Allison shed light on the profound significance of this track, describing it as a cathartic anthem each time she
performs it on tour. With its poignant lyrics, “Character Development” is a vulnerable and unapologetic track.
Allison’s 70s/80s-infused alternative pop performance captivated the audience, establishing her as a rising star in the music industry. Her music transported listeners to a nostalgic era of neon lights and 2000s beats. Her strong stage presence and vocals conveyed both vulnerability and empowerment. Allison’s unique sound struck a chord with all fans that night, and her passion for her craft was evident.
The singer-songwriter consistently demonstrates a commitment to speaking out about her queerness and support for the LGBTQ+ community on her social media platforms and during shows. In partnership with the Elton John AIDS Foundation, she recently shared resources to learn more and donate to the organization, and she continues to embrace and exhibit pride to her fans and followers globally.
As for dynamic headliner Hayley Kiyoko, it is evident that she is also a rising artist in the music industry. Known for utilizing her platform to extend support to people on their personal journeys to self-love and embrace their sexualities, Kiyoko created a safe space for all attendees that evening. During the set, Hayley also invited beloved artist and icon, Fletcher, to join her onstage to sing their duet “Cherry” together, released in 2021.
