SAINT Restro-Lounge, the Black-owned premier hotspot known for its bold elegance and vibrant energy, hosted a week-long celebration to mark one incredible year of redefining dining and nightlife in the city.
Among the crown jewels of the anniversary lineup is an exclusive night at The SAINT, featuring the Standard Media Table, an intimate affair curated for a select group of media insiders.
On Tuesday, April 29th, we were fortunate to join the guest list for night two of the festivities, an evening that felt more like a private gathering among friends than a public event. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a glass of complimentary Prosecco (in true SAINT fashion), the tone was set: chic, celebratory, and utterly unforgettable.

The evening unfolded with carefully curated dishes and new signature cocktails presented by SAINT’s resident mixologist, the ever-innovative Mr. Mixxy. Sponsored by D’USSÉ and Don Julio, the new cocktail menu dazzled with bold, luxurious flavors:
- HK Margarita – Don Julio Reposado, Cointreau, Agave, Lime Juice, and a touch of edible black glitter
- Saint Ginger – D’USSÉ, Ginger Ale, Bitters, and Lime
- Peel Me Later – Don Julio, Grapefruit, Lime Juice, Agave, and Club Soda
Paired perfectly with indulgent bites like the lobster rolls, Korean short rib tostadas, and the fan-favorite hot honey chicken sliders (from their Slider Trifecta), the evening offered a sensory journey that embodied SAINT’s unique blend of refinement and soul. Throughout the night, media tastemakers laughed, clinked glasses, and shared stories as soft ambient music set the mood. The highlight came when owner James Jones gathered everyone for a heartfelt toast. “We opened SAINT because people were looking for that middle ground between fine dining and the club,” he reflected. “We’re focused on quality, our cocktails, our menu, our experience.”
As the applause faded, James raised his glass once more and declared it was officially ‘Shot O’ Clock’ a spontaneous, spirited moment that reminded everyone exactly why SAINT is one of the city’s most beloved hidden gems!
