At SXSW this year, on Friday, March 17, Monster Energy held its monthly event that revolves around celebrating women in media, music, and the entertainment industries.
Monster Energy Women’s Ultra Mixer brings together women that are key media and industry players in entertainment, music, film & television, tech, lifestyle, fashion, health and sports, as well as musicians, artists, and creators in an intimate setting.
Monster’s SXSW take on this gathering took place at the Monster Energy Outbreak House. This particular event honored a few special attendees including: Janet Pierson, Director of SXSW Film; Stacey Wilhelm, Senior Manager, SXSW Music Festival; and veteran music and entertainment journalist Lyndsey Parker, Editor of YAHOO Music.
While guests enjoyed delicious breakfast tacos and mimosas, Swedish group Baskery performed of their acoustic renditions for the audience. Guests also had the chance to win various prizes via a raffle giveaway, including complimentary travel packages and more.
Monster Energy Women’s Ultra Mixer event attracts movers and shakers throughout the entertainment industry, offering a unique opportunity for small groups to meet and share ideas with other women working in entertainment. Many women have secured jobs and made lifelong connections at the monthly event. While normally held in Los Angeles, the event series plans to expand to other states across the country very soon.
Also during SXSW this year, for the second consecutive time, StubHub hosted its annual showcase at Banger’s Sausage House & Beer Garden. StubHub Live: The Sound Stage @ SXSW was a three-day epic series of great music, good vibes, and even better food. This year’s lineup featured a wide range of rock, pop, hip-hip, electro-pop and indie artists. The showcase represented a dozen countries around the world, including the iconic performer, Banks, who performed Thursday night. With more than two-dozen acts in an intimate and relaxed outdoor setting, StubHub Live was certainly a favorite at SXSW this year.
