Perrier-Jouët champagne joined non-profit Women in Film to host the Ninth Annual Women in Film Pre-Oscar party at Hyde Kitchen + Cocktails in Los Angeles, CA . Guests in attendance including actress Jennifer Lawrence, Alicia Silverstone, La La Anthony, Lake Bell, Michelle Monaghan, Patricia Arquette, Kate Flannery, Kate Walsh, Maria Bello, Mickey Sumner, Frances Fisher, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Lauren Bowles, Carrie Preston, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Erinn Hayes, Amy Landecker (Dan in Real Life), Mya Taylor (Tangerine), Christa Campbell (Lonely Hearts), Liz Carey (The 40-Year Old Virgin), Alysia Reiner, Sarah Megan Thomas (EQUITY), Adepero Oduye (Steel Magnolias), John Savage, Alicia Vikander, DJ Nikki Pennie and Fashion designer Sophia Amoruso (Nasty Gal)  joined Women in Film, LA President, Cathy Schulman in honoring 51 women, in front of and behind the camera, who have been nominated for an Oscar this year.

Guests in attendance enjoyed Perrier-Jouët champagne along with filet mignon with braised kale, grilled salmon with creamed spinach, grilled asparagus, and vegetable orecchiette. A very special Perrier-Jouët toast by Women in Film LA President Cathy Schulman was the highlight of the night. Perrier-Jouët champagne has been a constant supporter of the Women in Film organization, taking part with the non-profit’s first pre-Oscar party years back. Perrier-Jouët continues to support females in the arts and film communities as exemplified by the event.

“Over the last three years we have mounted a statistical campaign to show where women fall out of the system in entertainment,” stated Women in Film Los Angeles President Cathy Schulman.  “It is really helping. It is not just Hollywood – it’s the whole country that is requiring us to make media that is not only made by women, but for women, girls as well as boys and men.”

One of the last to arrive, actress Jennifer Lawrence abstained from giving a long speech and was applauded from the stage. She recounted how she was such a fan of Patricia Arquette’s and how she had played a younger version of Arquette once. She continued that she “Loves that Arquette stood up,” proclaiming “We’re starting a conversation, we’re getting a dialogue going. … I didn’t know I was going to be (speaking). … Equal pay for women!”

Additional sighting: smartwater sparkling hosted an intimate dinner to celebrate Jennifer Aniston’s long-term support of St. Jude Children’s Hospital as the latest installment of W Hotels Insider Collective. A St. Jude patient and her mother attended to discuss the impact the organization has had on their family. A donation was also made to St. Jude on behalf of smartwater and W Hotels. The private event was held at W Hollywood with chef Michael Voltaggio. Also in attendance were: Courteney Cox, Whitney Cummings, Emma Roberts, Joanna Garcia Swisher, Jamie-Lynn Siegler and Geoff Stults. As well as being a longstanding brand ambassador for smartwater, Jennifer Aniston has helped St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital lead the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases for decades. The actress is dedicated to continue working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90 percent.
