In the Big Bang world, there’s always room for one more adventure.
So it’s fitting that it was an out of this universe premiere for Stuart Fails to Save the Universe — the latest and boldest new spinoff from The Big Bang Theory multiverse.
It’s precisely the kind of show Sheldon, Leonard and the whole crew would obsess over if they existed IRL in our own space and time. But then again, this show is all about alternate realities so perhaps somewhere out there… they already are.
The highly anticipated comedy puts longtime fan favorite Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman) in the spotlight and in an entirely new set of intergalactic adventures. The show’s title implies that Stuart fails to save the universe, but the show succeeds in bringing fans back to the world they fell in love with. Only now it’s bigger, weirder, and operating across multiple dimensions.

sJoining Stuart are familiar Big Bang friends and sometimes foes Denise (Lauren Lapkus), Bert Kibbler (Brian Posehn), and Barry Kripke (John Ross Bowie), along with some other faces you’ll remember… as well as some new ones.
The LA premiere was held at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, where cast members reunited with executive producers Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady, and Zak Penn, along with legendary composer Danny Elfman who created the series’ buzzy new theme. Spoiler alert (do NOT skip the opening titles) and many others on the red carpet.
After the screening, guests headed over to Fanny’s for the after-party. The cocktail of the evening, the “Quantum Entanglement Thing,” came with a choose-your-own cosmic ending: a bubblegum topper for the sweet-toothed or a Pop Rocks rim for those looking to add a little explosive science experiment to happy hour.
