On December 9th, Marie-Lou & D hosted their official grand opening. Located in the heart of Soho, the salon provided and upscale and sophisticated setting for the evening with their team of top-level hair and beauty experts.
In true Parisian style, the soiree featured flowing champagne, charcuterie, and sweet treats as guests mingled with the artists. Maven cocktails was also there offering their unique concoctions of wine infused vodka. Desserts were provided by Mochidoki featuring premium Japanese desserts which added a cosmopolitan twist to the event.
Behind red velvet ropes, the fabulous Chelsea Leyland played an eclectic mix to keep the party going. Guests took turns at the photo booth station complete dazzling gold sequin backdrop. Overall the event had an inviting, chic, and creative atmosphere.
We had the chance to speak with Meibel Romero, a nail technician at Mary Lou & D who’s been in the industry for 25 years. “The best thing about working here is that we are very humble people. We are people that came from the best salons in New York, so we are very good.”
